Getting started
What GovernanceOS records, and what a gate is
The record of each AI decision: five gates, one named approver at each, and evidence hashed as the gate passes.
How-to video: [posted at launch]
- For
- Anyone, CROs and gate approvers, Model owners, Validators
- You need
- Nothing: How it works is public.
- Result
- You can read any gate record: who decided, on what evidence, and when.
Steps
Read The five gates on How it works: G1 data and design, G2 validation, G3 approval, G4 deployment and G5 operation, each with one named approver.
Read The record chain. Each record carries the hash of the one before, so a change to history shows.
Learn the two tags on every value in Plain words: typed, entered by a person, and produced, written by the system.
Open Gates in the demo to see each open gate with its named approver and due date.
Open one gate record, underwriting triage, G4, and read its conditions, its evidence and the decision only the CRO can sign.
Good to know
- A gate passes when one named person signs it with the evidence attached. A committee may advise; the record names who decided.
- Approved is one answer; permitted to run now is another. A signed gate answers the first. The second compares what runs today with what was approved, and the record says so plainly when they differ.
- Records are appended, never edited. A new version carries a reason, an author and an effective date.
- Where a regulator has issued nothing, the record reads “none issued”, with the date it was checked.
Where in the product
These open the prototype, on fictional institutions. People are shown as roles.
