# GovernanceOS for Superintelligence, the Defensible AI Platform > GovernanceOS is AI governance software designed to keep the governance record of each AI decision at a regulated institution: one named approver per lifecycle gate, evidence hashed at the moment of decision, chained so an examiner can verify it offline, and regulatory rows that record a refusal with its date where a regulator has issued nothing. It is designed for the path from today's AI to superintelligence. Canada-based; serves Canada, the United States and the GCC. ## Entity - GovernanceOS (https://governanceos.si/) is a separate entity from its founder's site. Founder: Nabeel Khan, https://nabeelkhan.com/ (Wikidata Q140932324), linked as its own entity, never merged with GovernanceOS. ## What it is not - Not a compliance certificate, and never a score. It states what the records show; conformance with any framework is self-declared. Certification of people and institutions is described at https://governanceos.si/certification: institutions are certified only by an assessment body independent of GovernanceOS, by design. - Not a risk score. The readiness instrument gives a position on four altitudes, never a score. ## Product - [GovernanceOS: AI Governance Software | Defensible AI Platform](https://governanceos.si/): AI governance software: every AI decision on record, signed by one named person. GovernanceOS keeps the decision itself, with one named approver per gate (G1 to G5) and evidence hashed at passage. - AI security and runtime tools (Lakera, part of Check Point since October 2025; HiddenLayer; Pillar Security; WitnessAI; Prediction Guard; Arthur): they stop unsafe calls. GovernanceOS keeps the governance record those controls sit inside and can take their signals as evidence. - Data and risk platforms (Microsoft Purview, Collibra, Dataiku, SAS, Asenion, Vanta): broad control, data and model risk work. GovernanceOS is narrower and deeper: the record of each AI decision, the regulator's words behind it, and evidence checkable offline. ## Facts about others, stated positively - OSFI Guideline E-23 is also covered by ModelOp (an E-23 template), Asenion (formerly Fairly AI; an E-23 page), VerifyWise (an E-23 page) and Collibra (a mapping to the draft guideline). - Meilynx publishes an offline verifier, under Apache 2.0, for its runtime call records. - ServiceNow describes tamper-evident audit logs; Dataiku can bind a sign-off to a model version; Arthur flags agents whose policy is no longer running. ## What we found no one else stating (27 vendors, own pages, 16 and 18 October 2026) - One named approver per lifecycle gate with evidence hashed at the moment of passage. - Regulatory rows that record a refusal with its date where a regulator has issued nothing. - The AI instruments of SAMA, CBUAE, QCB, CBB, CBK and CBO, and a Sharia supervisory board as a second authority over the same records. - Record fields that cite specifications deposited with DOIs. These describe public pages on those dates, not anyone's roadmap.
